                                                                                                 STANDARD PAPER SIZES

IF YOU WISH TO SEND US A FILE TO PRINT I PREFER THE BELOW:

CDR - CDR is a CorelDraw file this is the main program that we design in. When supplying work as a CDR please make sure that you either supply the fonts or convert the text to curves.

PDF - Portable Document File. This is the best way to send us files that haven't been designed in CorelDraw. Please make sure the settings are on the highest quality and that any text is converted to curves.

JPEG - When you export a document as a JPEG it will become a solid image like a photo the text will become a little blurred and we will not be able alter the document.

EPS - This is like a PDF but generates very large files make sure you turn off JPEG compression.

  • PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE SENDING ANY FILES

  • Bleed - when you require edge to edge printing a bleed is required, a bleed means that the job will have to be printed on oversize paper and a trim taken off. If artwork is to be supplied a minimum of 2mm over the finished size will be required on all lines, boxes, logos, backgrounds and photos.

CMYK - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black are the four colours used by printing presses to produce full colour documents, most printing presses will not be able to reproduce RGB colours so don't forget to design and export your work in CMYK. Please note all printing equipment varies, even from brand to brand so please don't expect the colour on your screen or off of your home printer to an exact representation.

RGB - Red, Green & Blue - the colours used by a computer monitor to create images on the screen.

dpi - Is the amount of dots per square inch an image has, the dpi will determine the quality of your print. You can change the dpi when you export your work, I recommend you use around 300dpi unless you wish the document to be blow up, in which case I would use 500 to 600dpi.

Curves - When you convert an object or text to curves you are turning them into pictures or vector images.
